Helloween – Master Of The Rings – CD

Re-release of the sixth studio album of Hellowen as 180g vinyl (no extras). Helloween were marked by quite a few reshuffles in the course of their career, and before the recordings for “Master Of The Rings” there were again big cuts. Drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg left the band for health reasons, and shortly afterwards Michael Kiske left due to internal disagreements. In their place came singer Andi Deris (formerly of Pink Cream 69) and drummer Uli Kusch, who were to solidify Helloween’s new line-up. In order not to burden the audience even more with all the changes, they intentionally moved the sound back very close to the two “Keeper Of The Seven Keys” albums in order to recapture familiar territory. Speed metal with catchy choruses is the basic formula here.
