In his long and fascinatingly erratic career, he covered many musical bases, his artistry ranging from brutally hard and heavy to transcendentally beautiful, all played perfectly and straight from the heart. He was more than amazing: “Jeff has notes on his guitar that no one else has,” said Eric Clapton.
