Load is the sixth studio album by Metallica, originally released in June 1996. At 79 minutes long, it is the band’s longest studio album. The follow-up to The Black Album, it reached number one in many countries around the world, including the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Australia, and New Zealand. It features the singles “Until It Sleeps,” “Hero of the Day,” “Mama Said,” and “King Nothing.”
