Originally released in January 1964, “Rev-Up” boasts a lineup of musical legends, including Steve Douglas, Bruce Johnston, Jerry Cole, and other studio virtuosos like Hal Blaine, Glen Campbell, Tommy Tedesco, Leon Russell, and more – a veritable who’s who of the Wrecking Crew!

Presented here in its cherished mono mix (copies of which routinely fetch hundreds of dollars), “Rev-Up” is a high-octane record. Bruce Johnston, fresh from his hit “Hey Little Cobra,” is ready to rev things up with the elite of the hot rod club. While tracks from this album briefly appeared on another ’60s car-themed collection, this edition is the definitive compilation, featuring the sole single released in 1963 under the name “The Vettes,” which included “Little Ford Ragtop” on one side and “Happy Hodaddy (With Ragtop Caddy)” on the other.
