By the time she was only 12 years old, Toni Harper (born in 1937) had already cut a platinum record, performed at Carnegie Hall, shared the stage with Cab Calloway, and appeared on TV with Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Milton Berle, and Ed Sullivan. She got her chance to sing more adult songs on the present album, Toni, backed by Oscar Peterson, Herb Ellis, Ray Brown, and Alvin Stoller.
