Melodic guitar rock with two lead guitars: that is the sound of Wishbone Ash. On “Argus” the British band devotes itself to medieval themes and gives them a majestic tone. Some of the tracks are extended compositions with room for long improvisations, including “Time Was” and “Sometime World”: medleys of different melodies that demonstrate great imaginative power and with which the group carves out new musical territories. “Argus” is perhaps the most important album of the band.
