Camera Obscura celebrate Record Store Day 2022 with ‘Making Money’, a brilliant compilation of B-sides and rarities mined from their time on feted indie 4AD, the label with whom they released acclaimed albums ‘My Maudlin Career’ [2009] and ‘Desire Lines’ [2013]. Curated by the band, ‘Making Money’ includes 3 hard-to-find B-sides, 5 cover versions (with 10cc, Bruce Springsteen, Gene Autry, Jim Reeves and Richard Hawley all getting the Camera Obscura treatment), a stunning session recorded in New York for The Wild Honey Pie and 2 remixes (done by Jim Noir and Richard Hawley respectively). A Record Store Day exclusive, ‘Making Money’ is being pressed on mint vinyl and is being released in the memory of keyboardist Carey Lander, who sadly lost her battle with cancer in 2015.
