Kaleidoscope – Tangerine Dream – Vinyl LP

Kaleidoscope was a British psychedelic rock band active in the late 1960s, known for their dreamy, whimsical sound and vivid storytelling. Their music featured intricate melodies, poetic lyrics, and a distinctly psychedelic folk-rock style. They later changed their name to Fairfield Parlour and leaned into a more progressive rock direction.

“Tangerine Dream” (1967) is their debut album and a classic of British psychedelia. It is filled with imaginative lyrics, mystical themes, and lush instrumentation, capturing the late ’60s psychedelic atmosphere. Songs like “Dive into Yesterday” and “Flight from Ashiya” showcase surreal storytelling, while tracks like “The Sky Children” deliver a fairy-tale-like narrative. Despite its artistic quality, the album didn’t gain mainstream success but has since become a cult favorite among psych-rock collectors.
