Laura Pausini – Io Canto 2 – Vinyl LP

Laura Pausini’s new album is a true tribute to the singer-songwriters, performers and composers of the history of Italian music, with a broader horizon that also includes pieces in foreign language with a particular connection to Italy: from a Portuguese adaptation by Ana Carolina de La mia storia tra le dita, to un success by the Tribalistas, Ja sei namorar, whose front woman and author, Marisa Monte, has homegrown roots; from the French version of Two Lives, by Marco Mengoni to the tribute to one of the greatest pop stars of all time, Madonna, also of Italian origin, of which Laura reinterprets the evergreen La isla bonita. The tracks range from 1960 to 2023, including Felicità, a song in which Laura combines her voice with that of the great late pillar of the songwriter, Lucio Dalla.
