Loupe – Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next? – Vinyl LP

The Amsterdam indie rock quartet Loupe has the gift of sounding haunted and hypnotic at the same time. Over a weave of rousing harmonies, flowing rhythms and expressive vocal lines, singer Julia explores themes of young adulthood, big city life and human relationships. The highly anticipated debut album explores these coming-of-age issues. There are also plenty of explorations in terms of sound; there was room for playful electronic experiments during the recordings. The heady moments in which the band goes full throttle on stage got more depth, control, plus an influx of new creative ideas. “Do You Ever Wonder What Comes Next?” was produced by Arne van Petegem (Moss, Styrofoam) and mixed by Beau Sorenson (Death Cab For Cutie, Sparklehorse).
