Presented here is the brilliant Berlin performance by the 1969 Miles Davis Quintet with Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Dave Holland and Jack DeJohnette. In his autobiography, Miles would state that this group, which toured Europe from October 26 to November 9, 1969, was “really a bad motherfucker.” An Antibes performance by the same band recorded a few months earlier has been added as a bonus.
