Patti Smith – Radio Ethiopia – Lp vinyl

“Radio Ethiopia” is the follow-up to the universally acclaimed debut “Horses”. In interviews at the time of the album’s release, Smith explained that she had chosen producer Jack Douglas to make the album a commercial success. In the end, however, the record became one of the most experimental pieces of music Patti Smith has released in her illustrious career. “Radio Ethiopia” manages to translate the lyrical complexity and experimentation into sound.

The reissue of the 1976 original is certainly a digital remaster – Arista and Sony Music released CD editions in 1996 and 2007 CD editions in 1996 and 2007.
